David Asbury has been studying and performing piano for over 30 years. During his time at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, he earned a Master of Music in Piano Accompanying with a focus on Spanish Art Song, and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. He accompanied private voice and instrumental studios for ten years at the UNCG, and two additional years at the Shenandoah University Conservatory.
While studying in NC, David began to accompany music theater and opera productions in both community and school settings. He continues to enjoy playing the annual musical productions at Millbrook High School in Winchester, VA, where he is currently in his ninth year as full-time accompanist for the Choral Department. David maintains a private studio at the Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy. He also serves the Arlington, Virginia Diocese as a church pianist for St. Stephen the Martyr in Middleburg. David and his wife Amy, who is also a musician, have been married for over twelve years and live in Berkeley County.
